Ather Scooter :
Ather company has officially confirmed that a new family scooter will be offered for the Indian market with the beginning of the new year. This electric scooter is going to compete with computer electric scooters like TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak in the Indian market.
Ather Scooter Family :
A spy image of the upcoming Ather Electric family scooter has surfaced, in which the vehicle is covered in full camouflage. The spy image revealed shows a very similar body language to that of the TVS iQube. It appears to be more of a family scooter with a boxer design with a large pillion grip handle and a spacious floor board. As seen from the spy image, the design language is similar to that seen in other Ather electric scooters.
In the Ather Family Scooter image, we can clearly see that the scooter is coming with the same wheel design language as the 450X, but it gets a foldable pillion footrest, which makes it more comfortable. The rear view camera in the electric scooter is similar to that of the 450x. However, it is expected that some further changes will be made to keep the price down.
Ather Family Scooter Battery and Range :
The Ather family scooter is expected to operate with a similar range as the Ather 450x. Currently the Rate 450x is offered with a 2.9 kWh battery option, which has a claimed range of around 115 km. However, it is expected that the company will first introduce the low-range low-cost model, after which its top model will be offered in the Indian market. This is going to benefit two types of customers: those who want to buy a low-cost electric scooter and those who want to buy the top of the line version.
Ather Family Scooter Features :
Among the features, it is expected that this smartphone will be offered with LCD instrument cluster similar to 450x with smartphone connectivity and reading connectivity. You are going to get many types of facilities in this. It is going to get regenerative braking, OTA update, call alert and SMS alert information with the help of smartphone connectivity, digital speedometer, stand alarm, digital trip meter, time information along with warning when battery is low.
It is going to be operated with full LED lighting setup. Among the best features, parking assist, electric start assist, and many other great features are expected. It is expected that 22 to 25 liters of storage will also be provided inside the seat.

Ather Family Scooter Price :
The price of Ather family scooter is expected to start around Rs 1.3 lakh ex-showroom in the Indian market. In this you are also going to get fame 2 subsidy. Whereas currently the price of 450S starts at Rs 1.30 lakh ex-showroom in the Indian market, with an initial discount of Rs 5,000 given under the Fame 2 subsidy.
Ather Family Scooter Launch Date :
It is expected that the company will launch it in the Indian market by the end of 2024. This has been confirmed by Ather Electric CEO Tarun Mehta on his Twitter profile.
